National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) is the only recognized accrediting agency by the Ministry of National Education Republic of Indonesia. BAN-PT oversees the quality and efficiency of higher education through the process of accreditation of all study programs in higher education institutions in Indonesia. BAN PT has given the information to the public about status of accreditation of courses or study programs in the institutions, so that, the public believes about the quality of education offered and the quality of these programs can be maintained and improved. In a visitation, BAN PT gave advices or guidances on how to improve the courses.
