Inspired by Online Ojek, Tel-U Team Became a Winner at National Management Brainstorming Competition

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Again, Telkom University students became a winner in the national level. This time, the Technopolis team won first prize in the National Management Brainstorming Competition (NMBC) 2016 organized by Bakrie University, Friday-Saturday (1-2 / 4) in Bakrie Tower Epicentrum Kuningan, Jakarta. The team consists of I Made Kevin Bratawisnu (Business Management, Telecommunications and Informatics – MBTI 2014), Budi Setiawan (Communication Studies 2013), and Ni Luh Putu Mega Dyah Utami (Communication Studies 2015).

National Management Brainstorming Competition (NMBC) included into a series of events Brainstorming Management 2016 which is an annual event organized by Student Association of Management Studies Program Bakrie University. This year, the organizer chose “Creative Economy for Indonesia’s Tourism: Optimizing Demographic Bonus” as a theme.

On this competition, Technopolis arranged the plan and idea of ??an application that aims to take advantage of demographic bonus to popularize the tourism sector in Indonesia. This application was named as Tourism Activation Application, or abbreviated as T-App.

The workings of this application aim to make Indonesia’s tourism place could be increasingly recognized by many people. Kevin explained, anyone who knows about the tourist attractions can introduce these sights on this application. That person can provide information about the photos and videos about the tourist attractions, ranging from the accommodation, until access to the tourist places. The information man on T-App called T-Agent.

Then, T-Agent able to be a tour guide for people who use the application as a visitor or tourist. If interested, visitors or tourists are able to directly communicate with T-Agent and proceed to the transaction process. “The transaction process that will be a money for T-Agent,” said Kevin last week.

Kevin said that this idea was inspired from motorcycle (ojek) online applications that are much on demand by Indonesian. “A lot of tourist places in Indonesia were nice, but still a few people who know. For that reason T-App presented to introduce a more tourism to be known by many people, “he said.

In line with Kevin, Mega saw that T- App provided solutions for today’s problem. Mega said, in fact this idea was the little things that we often see, but can be solved existing problems in Indonesia. “On this case the problems in the field of tourism sector,” said Mega.

Technopolis team expected that in the future, T-App could actually be realized. For now, T-App is still in the planning stages. Mega said T-App still need help from others to be realized into an application that is ready for a lot of people. “Because this application can help the Indonesian economy in tourism sector and create jobs for many people,” he said.

Meanwhile, second position on this competition achieved Yogyakarta State University, 3rd Place won by President University, and the 4th achieved by Brawijaya University. Telkom University Technopolis team managed to be the first of 49 teams from various universities in Indonesia who participated in the National Management Brainstorming National Competition 2016 (purel / EAD)
