BANDUNG, TEL-U – Wirausaha Mandiri 2015 held by PT. Bank Mandiri created 24 young business people from all over Indonesia. One of them is Alfian Pamungkas, student from Informatics Study Program, School of Informatics Telkom University class of 2014.
Through PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia, Alfian won second position on Industry, Trade, and Services for students Category. This event was held from November 2015 to March 12, 2016 in Sabha Pramana Building Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta.
Alfian said, PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia is a provider of SSD based – cloud hosting services which have 3 servers in Indonesia, Singapore, and London. The company has been established by Alfian since May 2015. “Because the business is already running, and it turns out one of the categories on Wirausaha Usaha Mandiri, then I decided to join the competition,” he said.
Alfian diligence in managing this business brought him into an awesome result. Within 10 months after it was established, PT. Cloud Host Indonesia generate a turnover up to hundreds of millions rupiah. Those results may be due to the present, PT. Cloud Host Indonesia has a number of clients around 4000 from within and outside the country. “The achievement we achieved because we serve the customer as own families. So if there are complaints and feedback we can respond immediately,” he said.
In addition to focusing on the company’s revenues, PT. Cloud Host Indonesia also implemented a program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The program are EKA BIMA and NGO “GO Digital”. Through EKA BIMA, PT. Cloud Host Indonesia to help schools across Indonesia to create a free website for school. While NGO “GO Digital” is a donation program which helps Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to expand its impact through digital access.
According to Alfian, these CSR programs constitute became one of factors to became the winner on Wirausaha Usaha Mandiri 2015. “The programs create to develop the community, so there is a positive impact that we generate for the community,” he explained.
Alfian expect, PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia could have a positive impact and benefit many people. One of them is providing a job for people. Through PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia, “If I see a lot of people who need a job, however the working place is limited,” he said.
Moreover Alfian also expect that Indonesian people can be more interest on local product. According to him, nowadays many Indonesian products already have a good quality especially intended target market is also Indonesian. “As much as possible Indonesian people began to use local products, because Indonesian product began favored by abroad market,” he concluded.
