BANDUNG, TEL-U – Improving the intellectual development of students, staff, and all academic community, Telkom University (Tel-U) cooperated with PT Jawdat Technology Indonesia. Cooperation was marked by the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at Tokong Nanas Building, Multimedia Room, 2nd Floor, Friday (8/4).
The agreement was signed by Vice Rector IV Dr. M. Yahya Arwiyah, SH., MH with Tedhi Achdiana as Co-Founder and Managing Director of PT Jadwat Technology Indonesia. With this cooperation both sides able to work together realizing the link and match with mutual benefit principle in order to utilize the potential of both parties.
According to Yahya, expectations of this partnership is to build relationship and exploring science in every student, “Make friends with PT Jawdat’s to establish cooperation and improve individual quality,” he said.
After signing of MOA, the event continued with a seminar which invited Himawan Nugroho as Co-Founder and Director of PT Jawdat Teknologi Indonesia. The seminar entitled “Building Software Defined Network (SDN) Industry”. The purpose of this seminar, among others to introduce the application of SDN by international industry.
According to Himawan, SDN industry development is increasing from year to year, one of indicator is the use of Internet. Globally, the Internet population grew 18.5% from 2013 to 2015 and nowadays, more than 50% of the world’s population already has internet access.
“The development of Internet occurs because there are new services which make the network must evolve. Also, we now already familiar with cloud,” he said.
The Chairman Committee Seminar, Refan Fareda expected that after being introduced to SDN, Tel-U students who still hesitant to lift the final paper about SDN will change their mind. “Through this seminar we can compete in SDN field,” he said. (Purel / AW)
