BANDUNG, TEL-U – Dini Amalia and Alen Salvo Pratomo, students from School of Industrial Engineering Telkom University (FRI Tel-U) achieved the second Place at Trophy and Plaque Design Competition for PEEN (National Energy Efficiency Award) in 2016.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Conservation of Energy, Directorate General of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is related to the preparation of the National Energy Efficiency Award 5th 2016.
In line with the theme, “Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Industry”, trophies and plaques were selected to serve as a symbol of appreciation to government agencies, industry and manager of the building on their success in implementing energy efficiency and conservation in the environment.
The event is open to the entire public as well as students either individual or group. The enrollment began on February 27 to March 27, 2016. This competition has a series where selected participant required to perform and present their work in The Margo Hotel Depok, Saturday (23/4).
There are 10 nominations managed to continue in the process of this presentation stage, Dini Amalia and Alen Salvo Pratomo became one group of students among the 10 nominees. On the same day, the committee also announced the Top 3 and they should revised some design to decide the champion 1, 2 and 3. The revision process lasted for three days.
“Finally, on June 14, 2016 we received an email from the organizers that we declared as the second winner of Trophy and Plaque Design Competition for PEEN 2016 ” he said.
Dini added, trophy design was inspired by the arrangement of the building, if it appears on the flats of the building will be read PEEN, said the student who majoring in Industrial Engineering. “Our preparation for 2 days, but for the concepts and ideas about one week” she said.
Dini said that from this event, she learned many things, especially when finished explaining the results of a design”A lot of feedback from the judges that expand our knowledge, both from the design, production, marketing, until produce leverage designs,” she said. (Purel / aw)
