Presenting KIDEA in IEEE International Conference

BANDUNG TEL-U- Student and Telkom University lecturer joined IEEE International Conference in Industrial Engineering and Management. Warih Puspitasari and her student,  Kholifatul Ummah presented KIDEA research in a conference held in Swissotel Le Concorde Bangkok, Thailand on December 10th, 2013.

  “KIDEA is a Kinect-based application provides interactive and comprehensive method for mental disorder sufferer” stated by Ifa, the nickname of Kholifatul.

  KIDEA applies occupational way that trains motor nerves by adjusting the movement using Kinect. Kidea is utilizing gesture, voice and face recognizing in Kinect technology. KIDEA Therapy can help saving the cost as well as tightening the family relationship of mental disorder sufferer.

  Ifa also stated that there is a new development in KIDEA. “We add a new feature, it is called “Remember it” feature that help sufferer in training their memory”. Initially, KIDEA was used as home therapy complementary, but it is no longer used only at home, it can be used in school as well. Now, KIDEA is implemented in SLBC curriculum such as in Basic Communication, Basic Math and Environment Subject.

  IEEM Conference gathered researchers and practitioners from various branches of industrial engineering and management from all over the world. They have to share knowledge for all branch of industrial engineering; the information of the current research which relevant both theory and practice. IEEM held by well-known university in Asia and attended by more than 500 participants from more than 50 countries from all over the world.
