Local and International Game Publisher Enlivened Game Dev Gathering Prime 2015
BANDUNG, TEL-U – Hundreds of Game Publisher and Game Developer enlivened Game Dev Gathering (GDG) Prime 2015 held at Telkom University Convention Hall, Saturday (7/11). This event was the culmination of similar activities which previously carried out in three major cities such as Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Jakarta.
The event organized by Visual Communications Design Studies Program Faculty of Creative Industries Telkom University (DKV FIK Tel-U) aimed to bring together local game developers with publishers and encourage game developers to contribute to digital gaming industry development in Indonesia.
According to the Chairman of DKV Tel-U, Dicky Hidayat, the publisher who came not only from local, but also from outside Indonesia. “When foreign publisher come to certain event, it means they assume that its appropriate arena to show their masterpiece,” said Dicky.
Publisher is the parties that would published, distribute, and sell the games. Approximate 125 game developers brisked the stands which was arranged by “Duniaku” Event Organizer.
“During this time, game developers working guerrilla. Industrial walked silently, its rarely having this kind of activity. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to organize an event like this, “he said.
Besides the exhibition, the activities initiated by Game Association of Indonesia and Ministry of Communications as a sponsor also be filled with experience sharing talkshow by gaming community and application workshop by a company called Unity software application that is widely used by game developers. “The speakers, among others from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and India,” he said.
