Menristekdikti Urged the Academician to Reform the Higher Education

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Prof. Mohamad Nasir invited academicians of universities in Indonesia to carry out the reformation spirit on their institution. “How can the graduand able to compete at 21st century, if our education system still same like the 19th century,” said Nasir.

This statement was outlined in a speech entitled “Let’s Work, Innovative and Competitive” which was read by the Vice Rector IV Telkom University (Tel-U) Dr. M Yahya Arwiyah SH, MH at the National Education Day Ceremony in Tel-U ceremony sphere, Monday (2/5). The solemn ceremony was attended by a number of lecturers and employees of Tel-U.

Nasir added that through higher education, Indonesia could formulate the IPTEK human resources who capable to compete neither national nor international stage, and also spread to diverse workplace.

The ceremony, which lasted for 45 minutes closed with grant giving by Vice Rector I, Dr Heroe Wijanto, M.T to 37 Tel-U academicians who received accreditation BAN-PT Standard 6 and 1 lecturer Tel-U with community service program. (Purel / widya)
