Nihon No Matsuri, Closer to Japanese Culture

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Dozens of fireworks that lit the sky of Tel-U on Sunday (11/5) night was a sign that the celebration of Nihon No Matsuri (Festival of Japanese Culture) 7th had ended. With the theme of “Atarashi Monogatari” (The New Story), this event was held by Nippon Bunka Bu (NBB), which is a Japan Student Activity Unit (UKM) at Telkom University.

The celebration that usually held by Japan UKM of Telkom University is an annual event which usually held and got a lot of attention from various participants and communities consisted of various regions, especially Bandung.

Nihon No Matsuri Festival which was held one day long was a series of events that began with the Education Expo in middle of last April in Gedung Serba Guna (GSG) Telkom University, followed by Nihon No Matsuri Go To School with the target of high school students in Bandung. After that NNM also held a seminar for Tel-U students and Main Event of Nihon No Matsuri was the peak of the event, a Japanese culture festival that showed culture and arts from that Sun’s Origin Country.

Dozens of booths and bazaars of Japan Community contributed to add the excitement of this event. The visitors and participants of Nihon No Matsuri also could take pictures with the Cosplayers who did not want to lose to enliven the event. Not only took pictures visitors could also tried the “Obake House” (The House of Ghost). If the visitors was tired, the committee had provided food and beverage stands which also the speciality of Japan.
Aimed to develop the creativity of youth who love Japanese culture, this event also invited the participants or visitors to know closer about Japanese culture and arts. The participants were very enthusiast with dozens of interesting content that was provided by the committee and also the stage that was not less interesting with the incredible guest stars.

Chairman of this event, Abrori Nooresa, expressed his hope for this Nihon No Matsuri. “Hopefully, with this 7th Nihon No Matsuri the youth of Bandung and other region, especially who love Japanese Arts will grow and continue to make innovation which is greater,” he said. (KomPro / Azzah)
