SCBTII 2016 Expected as Event Collaboration Supports National Independence

SCBTII 2016 Diharapkan Sebagai Ajang Kolaborasi Mendukung Kemandirian Bangsa

BANDUNG, TEL-U – School of Economics and Business (FEB Tel-U) regained the title Smart Collaboration for Businesses in Technology and Information Industries 2016 (SCBTII 2016) started from 15-16 August 2016 at Grand Tjokro Hotel, Bandung.

7th SCBTII attended by academics and practitioners from within and outside the country with the theme “Smart Collaboration for Information Industry and Business between Business People, Government, Academia and Community “.

Present representatives of the government, among others, Basuki Yusuf Iskandar (Head of Research and Development of Human Resources Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Republic of Indonesia), and representatives of academia was attended by Prof. Teck Y. Eng (Professor of Marketing, University of Southampton, United Kingdom well as Managing Editor of the Journal of General Management (Scopus Indexed).

In addition there was a speaker Dr. Gadang Ramantoko (lecturer of FEB Tel-U), and from business people attended by R. Tubagus Wijaya, SE (CEO Parfum Gue), Niam Dzikri (Director PT Finnet Indonesia), and Hadi Kuncoro (CEO aCommerce-eCommerce Solutions for Southeast Asia).

“At this event we will see smart business, smart government, smart academics, and smart communities working together for industry business and information technology in the world”, said the Rector of Tel-U Prof Ir Mochamad Ashari, MEng, PhD at the opening ceremony.

Chairman of the Committee SCBTII 2016, Dr. Astri Ghina, said that the aim of this event was a bridge for us, to share the knowledge and experience both from academia, government and business people. “As academics it is not complete if we involved to education world but did not share our knowledge and experience,” she said.

Astri explained there were 46 papers presented at this event. This number was selection from 105 papers from four country.

Head of Research and Development of Human Resources Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Republic of Indonesia hoped that this event could encourage the collaboration of academia, businesses, communities and governments could provide benefits, especially in the development of ICT in Indonesia. “Hopefully this collaboration can support the national independence and the existence of national culture,” he said.
