Tel-U able to be Activator of Digital Industry Ecosystem Indonesia

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Chairman of Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel) Ir Kristiono expected that Telkom University (Tel-U) can take role as the activator of digital industry ecosystem acceleration in Indonesia. “The participation of the academic world for human resources education and research in ICT-related innovation and development of digital technologies is very important, and I hope Telkom University can take a role on this,” he said.

It delivered by Kristiono as a speaker at the event of 3 Years Reflection Telkom University which was held in the Hall of the School of Applied Sciences (FIT), Wednesday (7/9). This event was a place of friendship between Tel-U and a number of stakeholders at the same moment to evaluate and ask for input, especially external stakeholders.

Krsitiono added that industry moves very quickly, therefore the elements on it must move quickly to avoid getting left behind. “Telkom University can take a role by providing talent, update existing technology, and research,” he said.

Since inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture, On August 31, 2013, Telkom University (Tel-U) has gone through three years of very dynamic. By having a vision of world-class university that contribute actively develop science and art based on technology (ICT), is not excessive if Tel-U is ready to take on the role as an activator.

“The age of Tel-U is three-years, but this period is very important because it is the phase when we had to put the fundamental values ??which will determine whether or not the institution is solid,” said Rector of Tel-U Prof Ir Mochamad Ashari M Eng, PhD.

Besides Kristiono, also attend another speakers, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center (EPIC) Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Prof Dr Mahmoud Sabri Haron and Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) Chief Technology Officer of Bank Mandiri, Joseph Georgino Godong.

The event was organized by the Transformation Management Coordinator (KMT) received a good appreciation from the audience. The entire leadership of both the Telkom Foundation, the rector, dean, to the study program and a number of student representatives were present and listened to presentations from the speakers.
