Tel-U and ASKITEL Hold Cooperation at Interconnection Research in Broadband Era

BANDUNG, TEL-U – In the aim of increasing the quantity and quality of research, human resources training, consulting and laboratory services, Telkom University (Tel-U) established cooperation with Telecommunication Interconnection Clearing Association (ASKITEL). Cooperation by signing the memorandum of understanding by Tel-U Rector, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M Eng, PhD and ASKITEL Chairman Abdus Somad L Arief in Bangkit Building, 5th Floor, on Thursday (24/3).

This collaboration marked the implementation of interconnection study in the broadband era. The expectation is, according to Prof. Ashari, in order to jointly prepare a welcome step forward in technology development. “Because we also prepare to welcome the challenging in education world for the next ten years, especially to change the conventional mindset to digital,” said Rector.

At the same time, in the memorandum of understanding also included a cooperation agreement which was signed by Director of Research and Community Service (PPM) Dr. Palti Sitorus and ASKITEL Chairman Abdus Somad Arief.

Abdus Somad explained the reasons for interlacing the cooperation with Tel-U, in addition as a part of Telkom Indonesia, it was also because a number of experts in the field of formal or informal telecommunications came from this campus. “We are willing to work together with Tel-U because this campus has the ecosystems that we need, in addition to the telecommunications also in the business sector,” he said.
