Telkom University Actively Involved on Financial Technology Initiation

Bandung, Telkom University – As a university which concern on information, communication, and Technology (ICT), Telkom University through the School of Economics and Business in cooperation with SWA Magazine organized a seminar on Role and Functions of Financial Technology In Financial Industry on Thursday (23/3) in Missou Building, Telkom University.

The event aimed to provide an understanding of the Financial Technology (Fintech) for internal party (lecturers, students) and external (alumni, professional, community enterprise) as well as to realize the level of Triple Helix in which interwoven collaboration between universities, industry, and government to improve the dynamics and power economic sustainability.

Vice Rector III, AMA. Suyanto, Ir., MBA., DBA on his speech explained that the event is as committed and active role in initiating the development of Telkom University Fintech in Indonesia. “We colaborate with SWA create discussion forum to open the insight and professional community especially in the field of financial technology that is currently growing rapidly.”

Participants in this event can discuss directly with the three keynote speakers including Fintech Consultants Vedapraxis that Junita Maryam, practitioners Fintech of Investree, Andrian Gunadi, and from Faspay was Frecy Dasesty.

Frecy Dasesty reveals that mobile Internet users is increasing every year, have an impact on online transactions that follow this enhancement. “Users of mobile is growing, fintech can facilitate any digital-based financial services. Transactions can be done anywhere, “he said.

In response, Gunadi Andrian explained that the security of user data along with the FSA and BI-protected transaction. “BI and the FSA has defined rules regarding transactions by Fintech.”

Fintech itself is a digital-based financial services, almost all transactions can be carried and serviced by Fintech company. Fintech developments in Indonesia is increasing, it was the aim of the event and it expected to be a new insight for participants.
