Telkom University Inaugurated 1690 Graduands

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Open Session Senate Telkom University (Tel-U) with the agenda of the 9th graduation Master, Bachelor, and Associate Expert Period I, Academic Year 2016/2017 was held on Friday and Saturday (25 & 26 November 2016). The trial, which took place at Benggala Building or Telkom University Convention Hall (TUCH) confirmed its 1690 graduands of 27 courses, among 31 courses in seven faculties at Telkom University.

After the inauguration, the graduates will join the big family of alumni Tel-U today the number has reached 35.777 people and spread across 31 countries. There are namely the United States, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Nigeria, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Timor-Leste.

To the graduands of, Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir Ashari Mochamad MEng, PhD leave a message that is not satisfied with the knowledge that has been achieved during the lecture in Tel-U. “Could be, science has you get for studying in this campus is only a speck of capital should you develop so that you can not only survive, but also capable of becoming future leaders,” said Rector.

As a form of responsibility to the parents of students as one of the stakeholders, Rector of Tel-U also describes the progress achieved this campus in the last three months or since graduation Period III Academic Year 2015/2016 last August.

Developments among others won by Tim Robot from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of successful Gold Medal Winner for 1st and 2nd in the category Underwater Robot Robot in the World Championship Games (WRG) in 2016 at 24 to 26 August 2016 in Bandung. WRG 2016 this year followed by five countries in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam. Indonesia deployed around 500 participants, one of which is an SAS Robotic Team Tel-U to Senior level.

Other international accomplishments achieved by the students who joined the Telkom University Choir Telkom University (Tel-U Choir). They returned the name of Indonesia in the 1st Lanna International Choir Competition held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on 19-23 October 2016. At the competition participated by 58 teams from 8 countries choir, the Tel-U Choir performed in two championship categories, namely Mixed Youth Choir and Folklore Choir. They managed to bring home the gold for Indonesia in the form of Gold Diploma Level I category Folklore Choir and Gold Diploma Level IV in the Mixed Youth Choir category.

At the national level, among other accomplishments achieved by the students of Student English Society (Tel-U SES). They won the winner-1 and a Grand Finalist in the competition Gemasi English Challenge 2016 held from 8-9 October 2016 at the University of Padjadjaran. For this achievement, they crowned the Overall Winner. Similarly, students from S1 Studies Visual Communication Design – Creative Industries Faculty, on 27-29 October 2016 won the Champion-2 Animation Contest on National Student Exhibition ICT (Gemastik-9/2016) organised by Kemenristekdikti-RI in the University Campus Indonesia. Overall in the last four months, from July to October 2016, the Tel-U student achievement as much as two achievements international competition, six national achievements, and one local achievement.
