Now, Pameungpeuk Area Owned Portal Village!

BANDUNG, TEL-U – A number of Telkom University (Tel-U) lecturers held a community service (abdimas) by organizing a workshop on website creation and citizen journalism in Pameungpeuk area, Bandung Region lasted for two days, April 30 and May 7, 2016. This workshop was attended by around 50 participants included Koran recital group, Islamic Youth, and authors from “Lingkar Pena Pesantren”.

“This is the beginning part to build a digital village. The village which is designed in the virtual world with all the ideas and potential,” said Meldi Renda, the community service executive of Telkom University.

With the village’s website, added Meldi, citizens can conduct e-commerce through the community marketplace, as well as community news to deliver criticism suggestions for development. “And various religion lecture,” he said.

Pameungpeuk area has economic potential and included many activities such as Koran Recital Group and development program of the village. This digital facility will become a community center in the area of Pameungpeuk.

“Of course, the facility will boost the economy and welfare of citizens through various development proposals and criticisms to the government,” he said. (Purel)
