Strengthen the Research Campus, UTM Sent a partnership to Tel-U

YOGYAKARTA, TEL-U – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) through officials dean Faculty of Education, Associate Professor Dr. Yusof bin Boon perform special meeting with lecturer from Faculty of Communication and Business, Telkom University (FKB Tel-U), Wednesday (10/2). The meeting, held at Neo Hotel Yogyakarta also attended by Dr. Soni Sadono, lecturer and representatives of Student Affairs, as well as the official representative from Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the State Islamic University in Yogyakarta.

On the occasion, Yusof bin Boon confirmed interest to interlace unlimited cooperation in research. According to him, to become a world-class university, all universities cannot through the path by itself.

“We need to invite universities in Indonesia in partnership, not only limited to the field of research but also other fields such as academic exchange of students and lecturers, organizing seminars and international level conferences. Telkom University is our goal because both have the technology-based “said Yusof in his speech.

In response to this, Soni said that Telkom University has started international cooperation since its establishment in 2013. “We’ve already done many things to realize the vision of a world-class campus. In addition to research partnerships with universities abroad, we also have received many students from various Asian countries, “said Soni Sadono sidelines of the meeting.

The visit lasted approximately three hours before a further meeting which was initiated by a team of research partnerships between Tel-U and the State Islamic University (UIN) in Yogyakarta through the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Fishum). On the same occasion, FISHUM Dean Dr. Kamsi excited over that partnership arrangements, “as much as possible this cooperation can continue on basis, so that UIN and Tel-U can equally improve their education which have implications for the quality of young generation, and society at general,” he said.

The meeting was also filled with the signing of collaborative research which has been previously established between Tel-U and the State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga. Also participating in the research team is Dr. Yahya Arwiyah (Chief of Telkom University Researcher), Dr. Soni Sadono, as well as a number of FKB lecturers. (Purel / raf)
