Tel U Thankful for Achieving Institutions Achievment

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Ramadhan was important moment for all moslem around the world, not least for the academic community Telkom University (Tel-U). This holy month not only to multipy the act of worship, but also this was the right time to do self evaluation and be thankful of what we have reached for all the time.

This was conveyed by Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, MEng, PhD, in the Iftar Together with dozens of journalists from various media in the city of Bandung, the Hotel Savoy Homan, Wednesday (22/6). “We gather to stay in touch while we grateful for achievement that Tel-U had achieve in the last year since last Ramadhan,” he said.

Achievements that have been achieved by Tel-U which include achievement both from students, lectrures, and institutions achievement both nationally and internationally. Students Tel-U, said Rector, already chalked least 115 achievement, with details of 16 achievements international level and national level 98. “There is no day without merit,” said Rector.

International achievements included the 1st Prize category Humanitarian Project Contest – IEEE Industry Applications Society; 1st Place and Best Innovation Global Mobile Innovators Tournament 2016 in Barcelona; 1st and 2nd Place – ARToolKit Emerging AR Developers’ Contest held by DAQRI, USA; 1st winner and Favorite Winner – Indonesia International Islamic Fashion & Products 2015 held by Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia; and 2nd Place – Industrial Challenge (INCHALL) 2016 held by Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology.

National achievements included 1st Place – Living World ASRI Home Festival 2016 held by Informa/Ace Hardware; 2nd Place – Business Insight Seminars and Competition (BISCO) 2016 MM UGM Jakarta; Gold Medal, Silver, and Bronze – Bandung Pandavas Taekwondo Championships; 1st Place – Trisakti Economics and Business Fair Competition (TEBFC) 2016; and The Best Design of The Bravacasa – Bravacasa Design Challenge Competition 2015.

Not only the students, the lecturers had registered their achievements, among others at the international level there was Lecturer in Industrial Engineering who won Best Track Papers Award – The Sixth International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

While the Institution achievements amounted to 9 Achievement, with details of four international achievements and five national achievements, included the MoA with the University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM); Collaboration with the National Aviation University (NAU) and Kyev National University (KNU) Taras Shevchenko; The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow, a 21st century organization (ABEST21); and Collaboration with the Seoul Institute of Arts – Education Cooperation in the field of art and technology.

“Hopefully Tel-U can continue to improve this achievement and achieve even better results in the future,” he said. (purel/raf)
