BANDUNG, TEL-U – Two Interior Design lecturers Telkom University, School of Creative Industries (DI FIK Tel-U) achieved 2nd and 3rd place in the category of Eagle Sketch Nusantara held by Telkomsel in the mission of portraying Indonesia through the aerial footage (drone). They are Andreas Handoyo who won the second place and Hani Handayani in third position.
The competition was conducted online from April 14 to May 14, 2016 by uploading their sketches result into social media and Eagle Nusantara website. The winner was announced on May 30, 2016.
The event is a series of expeditions Eagle Nusa Telkomsel and it is not only to share and show the natural beauty of Indonesia, but also involving the public by following a series of competitions held by Telkomsel such as Satu Nusa Activity, in which participants are required to do selfie in front of eagle Nusa’s banner in some areas which is traversed by Eagle Nusa Drone.
In addition, there are 30 days capture activity challenge in which participants had to mark (capture) a few photos of the streaming video that can be seen from a smartphone. Then the last is an Indonesia sketch activity, the participants made a sketch of the video that has been captured by Nusa Eagle in previously.
To participate on this competition, Andreas admitted prepare the sketches for 1 week to choose a unique view of the eagle nusa recording. “I choose Lok Baintan Floating Market because it is quite interesting and a lot of Indonesian economic life which cannot be separated from the maritime life such as sea, rivers, and others,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to Hani, she chose to lift Wayag as a theme in the sketch. Hani Admittedly, quite a lengthy preparation from view streaming video from smartphones and capture the sights then print and made sketches.
“When I took a quite long time which is about three days to see the video streaming and choose which scene will be in the sketch, while for the sketches, I take half a day,” he said.
Admittedly by both of them that this event able to generate awareness and affection of the people of Indonesia to Indonesia beautiful nature, rich and diversity. (Purel / AW)
