BANDUNG, TEL-U – Coinciding with the third anniversary, Telkom University (Tel-U) received a special gift. Tel-U got an award from the Indonesian Original Record (ORI) as main organizers of drug misuse counseling with Telkom University as the most student participants.
“Let us pledge not to compromise the slightest to the drugs,” said Vice Rector IV Telkom University, Dr M Yahya Arwiyah.
This award was given directly to Tel-U in the Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) 2016 Batch 2 held at Telkom University Convention Hall (Tuch), Sunday (14/8).
The record was obtained by Tel-U based on calculations made by ORI on Drug Misuse Counseling activities that took place on August 8, 2016 and on August 14, 2016. From these calculations, Tel-U managed to break the record with 7246 the number of participants in the activities of Misuse Counseling Drugs.
“For Tel-U, this award certainly gives pride. But more than that this award is extra ammunition to determine to make efforts not only preventive but also reduction in student circles in particular and in the environment around the campus in general, “he said.
President Indonesian Original Record (ORI), Agung Elvianto said, a record achieved by Tel-U was a colossal record. According to Agung, the organization which carried out by Tel-U won a record of drug misuse counseling with the most participants.
“That is why we give such appreciation and hopes to add insight and spirit of Telkom University to inform students that misused drugs will lead to negative effect,” he said.
Besides Telkom University, ORI also gave appreciation to Brigadier General, Dr. Victor Pudjiadi, SPB, FICS, DFM on the achievement as main organizers of drug misuse counseling with Telkom University as the most student participants and to CV Petras Production as support organizers of drug misuse counseling with most student participants.
