Opportunities for Collaboration Between UNIDA Gontor and Telkom University

Bandung: Telkom University, Darussalam University (UNIDA) Gontor made a comparative study visit to Telkom University to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the Community Service (Abdimas) and Real Work Lecture (KKN) programs on Monday (11/15).

The Head of the Bureau stated it for Cooperation, Alumni, and International Affairs at UNIDA Gontor, Yoke Suryadarma, M. Pd I. according to him, UNIDA Gontor and Tel-U have many spaces for collaboration, one of which is optimizing Community Service and KKN for students.

“This is a return visit from us, that previously the Rector of Tel-U, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, and his entourage have visited us in Gontor. Thank you for the opportunity given by Tel-U to welcome us here. In essence, we hope to establish cooperation. It is to strengthen friendship and collaboration. Whatever we need to prepare, we will immediately arrange after this”

The Head of Strategic Cooperation at Telkom University, Periyadi, S.T., M.T., said that Community Service and KKN activities at Tel-U were among the leading activities for students. According to him, much could be developed more broadly from these activities.

“The Citarum Harum Thematic KKN is one of our flagship programs because the government gives us (Tel-U) the opportunity to participate and contribute to the Citarum River, which is of particular concern to the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” explained Periyadi.

Other discussion topics were related to the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM), Treasure Study for Alumni, and International Students.

Simultaneously with the ongoing discussion, there was another agenda carried out by UNIDA Gontor, namely holding a Seminar on “Islamic Thought and Civilization: The UNIDA Gontor XVI Ulama Cadreization Program.” It is a forum for orientation between Tel-U students and UNIDA Gontor.
