School Of Creative Industry Tel-U Organized The 7th Bandung Creative Movement

Bandung – Again, Telkom University organized an International Conference, the 7th Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) in 2020. This is annually held by the Tel-U School Of Creative Industry (FIK) on Thursday, (12/11) online through the Zoom Meeting.

The main objective of the Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) is to provide a platform for researchers, creative people, academics, and industry professionals from around the world to present their research results and development activities in the fields of Technology, Design, Society, Business and the Environment.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya revealed that this international conference could be a forum for exchanging ideas between practitioners. “BCM is an annual event by FIK since 2013. Through this international conference, it is not only increasing international publications but also as a publication event and media exposure, especially for FIK. Furthermore, it becomes a forum for exchanging ideas about business or research for future collaboration. ” Said the chancellor.

The conference provides an opportunity for delegates to exchange new application ideas and experiences in person, to build business or research relationships, and to find global partners for future collaborations.

Dean of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Dr. Roro Retno Wulan, S.Sos, M.Pd, also said that in facing global change, all lines need to collaborate, especially in the era of Industry 4.0 which we cannot avoid. The key is adapting to circumstances.

The theme raised for the 7th Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) is Dynamics of Industrial Revolutions 4.0, which discusses various interesting topics including Creative Technology, data, and creative industry; Digital Transformation of the environment; Digital Technology and cultural evolution; Innovation of Products, Creative industries management, and marketing; Aesthetic evolution in the digital era; Digital education for creative industries; Cultural Evolution in Time of Pandemic.

The Keynote Speakers who attended this event were Vichaya Mukdamanee, BFA, MFA, Ph.D. – Fine Artist / Lecturer of Researcher at Silpakorn Thailand; Dr. Mumtaz Mokhtar (Assoc. Prof. Dr.) Ph.D. – Art and Design, Degree Fine Art, Dip. Art Edu. / Lecturer and Researcher at UiTM Malaysia; Florian Heinzelmann, Ph.D., Dipl.-Ing. (FH), M. Arch., SBA – Architect Director of SHAU Architecture and Urbanism; Dr. Ira Wirasari., S.Sos., M.Ds. – Visual Communication Design, Lecturer / Researcher at School Of Creative Industry, Telkom University

For information, the conference, which has been held annually since 2013, consists of three major activities, namely the International Conference on the Creative Industry, the Creative Industry Professional Workshop, and the International Exhibition of Art and Design. Attended by at least 15 universities at home and abroad, with proceedings indexed by international publications CRC Press and Scopus.
