Startup Funding through Fintech Lending and Equity Crowdfunding
BANDUNG, Telkom University – Bandung Techno Park (BTP) as a startup innovation incubation center located in the Telkom University education area held BTP Talk with the theme of startup funding sources, this event took place in Hall Of C BUilding, Bandung Techno Park, Thursday (6/12).
Director of Bandung Techno Park for the period 2018-2019 Dana Sulistyo Kusumo, Ph.D said that in 2023 Tel-U has a target to become a university based on entrepreneurial and innovative universities.
“Seeing the target has become an obligation for all academicians to contribute to creating academic citizens who have the spirit of innovation as well as entrepreneurial spirit,” Dana said.
In this sharing session, BTP invited a speaker, Riwin Mirhadi. He is the head of the education and consumer protection section of the Regional Financial Services Authority (OJK) 2 in West Java. He explained material on alternative funding for Startup through Fintech Lending and Equity Crowdfunding.
Riwin revealed that there are several new methods for developing startup. First through fin-tech lending, which is bringing together lenders and loan recipients through the internet network. Second, there is equity funding, which an information technology-based stock is offering.
“With the two methods above, it is expected to provide space for pioneering companies (startup) to gain access to funding in the capital market,” said Riwin.
