Tel-U and Dong-A Interlace A Collaboration

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University together with Dong-A University from South Korea collaborated to develop the academic and educational sectors. This collaboration is contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Telkom University Rector Prof. Adiwijaya and President of Dong-A University Prof. Suk Jung Han, at the Pakuan Building, Bandung City, Monday (9/12).

The signing was witnessed directly by the Governor of West Java Ridwah Kamil, where the cooperation of universities in Korea with the University in West Java was a follow-up to the previous meeting after the awarding of the Doctor Honoris Causa (HC) for Public Administration for Ridwan Kamil from Dong-A University.

“This follow-up is a step for the Government of West Java Province (West Java Provincial Government) to pursue the progress of education in the West Java region,” he said.

In addition to Telkom University, the signing of the MoU also took place between Dong-A University and the Indonesian University of Education.

Emil, his nickname, said that he would encourage the education sector in West Java to collaborate with foreign universities, especially those in Asia.

“I encourage universities in West Java especially Telkom University and Indonesian Education University (UPI) to be able to establish cooperation with Dong-A University. Starting from the business management program to develop into technology 4.0 and others. So, we learn the power from Korea and in the future the benefits will be present for the people of West Java. “He explained.

Following are some of the points of cooperation contained in the memorandum of understanding signed directly by the Chancellor of Dong-A University, Suk-Jung Han and Chancellor of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya.

The points of cooperation between Dong-A University and Telkom University, as follows:

Exchange of academic, administrative, and research staff

  1. Exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students
  2. Undertake collaborative research projects and training activities
  3. Formation of a joint curriculum
  4. Undertake joint degrees and double degrees
  5. Exchange of academic material, publications, and other information
  6. Joint projects on culture types, international conference organizations, workshops and seminars
  7. Promote other cooperation that has common interests.
