Telkom University through the Quality Assurance Unit (SPM) held an accreditation workshop on Monday (30/1) which took place in the Auditorium in the Damar Building. This workshop aims to provide training to workshop participants in carrying out the accreditation process through the Independent Accreditation Institute of Informatics and Computer (LAM INFOKOM).
The general objective of the establishment of LAM INFOKOM is to carry out the process of accreditation of study programs in the field of informatics and computers and to guarantee the fulfillment of higher education standards in a systemic and sustainable manner so that a culture of higher education quality grows and develops.
Rector of Telkom University, as well as Chair of Indonesian Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computing (APTIKOM) West Java, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya welcomed the attendance of 57 representatives of higher education institutions who attended this workshop. According to him, this activity is in the context of improving higher education on a national scale.
“Today is a really special day for us, as 57 different tertiary institutions are participating in both offline and online (hybrid) activities.” According to Adiwijaya, “the seriousness of colleagues present here to improve Quality Assurance in their respective environments is an endeavor that will provide benefits in the future.”
The Rector of Tel-U said that through the course of this workshop, it is hoped that the attendees will be able to utilize the knowledge that they have received in their own individual tertiary institutions. He claimed that APTIKOM West Java gave this provision as a gift to make sure that Indonesian education can advance collectively.
Prof. Heru Suhartanto, Assessor from LAM INFOKOM, revealed at this workshop that LAM INFOKOM aspires to become an independent accreditation institution that is credible and accountable in conducting quality assurance of sustainable study programs in the field of informatics and computers, which have national standards and are internationally recognized.
