Again, Telkom University Becomes Number 1 Private University in Webometrics Version

BANDUNG, Telkom University – After being the only campus in Indonesia that achieved the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2021 rankings. Another proud achievement was achieved by Telkom University in mid-2021.

The best Private Universities (PTS) No. 1 in Indonesia was again achieved by Telkom University (Tel-U) in the Webometrics ranking, in addition to being the first private university in Indonesia to achieve superior accreditation, Tel-U also managed to rank 1001+ in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) ranking where Tel-U is the only private university that is included in the top 9 alongside the best universities in Indonesia, all of which are State Universities (PTN).

In addition, based on Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) 2022, Tel-U managed to enter the top 10 best universities in Indonesia with an overall score of 8.1, based on several assessment aspects including Academic Reputation (5); Employer Reputation (6.2); Citation per Faculty (1.3); Faculty Students (24); International Faculty (4.8); and International Students (2.4).

This time it was reported from the official website www.webometrics.info. Tel-U again managed to rank first for private universities in Indonesia, as a university that has a good quantity and quality of website content. As for the whole, Tel-U is ranked 6th in Indonesia and ranked 1,416th in the world according to Webometrics.

Webometrics is a ranking of the largest higher education institutions in the world that provides an assessment of all the best universities in the world through websites that are assessed based on open access, the number of researchers or lecturers, and the number of publications citing information from the university’s website and updated every six months.

Rector of Telkom University Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya said that the achievements achieved by Tel-U from year to year are a form of Tel-U’s commitment to providing good quality education for this nation because the golden generation that is the vision of this nation is produced from quality universities in it.

“This is our commitment to continue to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia, and hopefully this achievement can motivate the entire academic community in providing the best for this campus and the Indonesian nation,” said Prof. Adiwijaya.

Acknowledgments Prof. Adiwijaya conveyed to all academics who have made Tel-U proud both nationally and internationally.

“Thank you to all academics who have worked hard to make Tel-U proud, amid this pandemic, hopefully, we will always be given health so that we can continue to produce good generations for this nation,” he said.
