BANDUNG, TEL-U – Thousands of job seekers attended Job Expo 2016 that was held at the Landmark Convention Hall Braga, Jalan Braga Bandung, 13 to 14 April 2016. The event was organized by the Directorate of Telkom University Career Development Center (Tel-U Career) and it is routinely held since Tel-U was established three years ago and took place three times a year.
Job Expo this time invited 49 companies ranging from enterprise IT, Telecommunication, creative industry, banking, broadcasting and several other E-commerce companies.
“We held a job expo three times in a year. This is the first in 2016 with 3,874 the number of participants, we will organized another on August and November, “said Director of Career Development Centre Tel-U, Desy Dwi Nurhandayani.
On this event, Tel-U also opened a booth for participants who planned to continue study either from D3 to S1 or from S1 to S2. In addition, there were also TOEFL test preparation service from language center as well as career counseling services.
According to Desy, Job Expo 2016 was a series of events since 11 April 2016 and, starting from booth camp for Tel-U graduands and final year students. This event provided information about the human resource needs in every companies.
“We also held psychological test and training on how to create appropriate CV, application letter, tips on job interview, topped off with a seminar from psychologists about personal branding,” she said.
Desy added, companies which could not participated on the Job Expo 2016 but open the opportunity for Tel-U graduand, Tel-U prepared campus recruitment services. The company could visit Tel-U and post job vacancy on Tel-U website. “Then organized selection on Tel-U campus,” she said. (Purel / AW)
