Commemorate Earth Day, KMPA Present CFD and Healthy Way

BANDUNG, TEL – U – Telkom University Student Nature Lovers (KMPA Tel-U) held an Earth Day event, Wednesday (22/04). The event which held in Situ Techno included Car Free Day (CFD), healthy walk, tree care, fun rafting up interesting discussions on Environmental Damage and Technology.
This event is the second time since KMPA established in 2014. This time, through the event themed “One Better Earth – one day for a better world”, KMPA work with all students organizations in Telkom University and BEM KEMA Tel-U and fully supported by students affairs.

Yuning, one of the organizers, said the event aims to raise awareness in addition to residents of Tel-U, especially in its role maintain and preserve nature, as well as to educate the citizens of Tel-U about the importance of preserve nature by individual. “This event also supports the Green Campus program is being conducted by the Tel-U in order to make this campus better,” he said.

In the discussion about environmental damage and technologies, KMPA also invited several speakers and environmental activists in Bandung. This time KMPA invited Kang Yoga which is one of the founders of Badot tribes in Mount Hawu, Padalarang, and Kang Mukhlis an environmental activist who is also lecturer of the Faculty of Creative Industries. Kang Mike also present on the Forum for the Environment (WALHI).

Director of Student Affairs, Drs. Hendratno expressed support and grateful there are still many students who want to care and respect for nature. Interesting discussion with the theme of environmental damage and this technology is in progress smoothly and attractive. Discussion participants agreed to improve human mentality and mindset.
