BANDUNG, TEL-U – Rector of Telkom University (Tel-U), Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari M Eng, PhD, invited all citizens of academic community to inflame the innovation. “We complete this independence with the commitment and real passion to continue working to develop technology and innovation as a provision of the nation to be independent and competitive in the globalization era,” he said.
This is conveyed by Rector when reading the speech of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof Mohamad Nasir, in the ceremony of 71st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony was held in the grounds of the School of Informatics and attended by hundreds of participants such as the top management, lecturer, TPA, and student representatives.
He added that, a few days ago, Indonesia commemorate 21st National Technology Awakening Day, which was centered in the city of Solo, Central Java. The celebration was a respect and appreciation for the success and achievements of Indonesian people resounding in the field of science and technology.
“We are also actively involved in a research consortium with three other universities as well as five companies in developing smart card or smart card,” said Rector. “This form of our contribution in developing innovative technologies to independence.”
