Learn the International Culture and Process Learning Through GLOW

BANDUNG, Telkom University – To learn about cultures and useful information on learning process in international context especially for Business and Engineering students. International Class Academic Office (ICAO) Telkom University organized a Global Learning Week (GLOW) 2017 academic program that takes place at Tokong Nanas Building Lt.8 Telkom University.

The program, which has been running since May 22, 2017 to June 3, 2017 will bring teachers from universities in Malaysia and the Netherlands, including lecturers from the University of Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), University Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP), University Malaysia Pahang and University of Twente Netherlands.

In GLOW 2017 there are 5 courses from 6 Study Programs in ICAO, Eka Yuliana, ST, MSM, explained that this program will be followed by students from class 2014 – 2016.

“Currently the total of students who participated from 5 subjects reached 200 students and participants who participated are international class student force 2015 and 2016” he said.

With the foreign teachers of Assoc Prof Erween Bin Abd Rahim from UTHM, Dr. Nur azzah samsudin from UTHM, Prof. Dato ‘Wira Dr. Mochd. Salleh from UniMap, AP.Dr. Alexander Van Deursen from University of Twente Netherlands and Yudi Fernando, Ph.D from the University of Malaysia Pahang. “Every faculty from outside will be accompanied by lecturers from Telkom University in accordance with their respective subject” said Eka.

Assoc Prof. Erween Bin Abd Rahim discussing about Sustainable Manufacturing and Manufacturing Process will be followed by Industrial Engineering and Information System students who focus on the need of knowledge improvement on Sustainable Manufacturing activities. Where participants are expected to apply and utilize this knowledge in new areas and analyze previously unknown problems and challenges and plan and organize action Implementation.

Dr. Noor Azah Samsudin will discuss about Object Oriented Programming and Algorithm & Complexity which will be followed by Telecommunication Engineering student, Information System and Informatics Engineering, here the participants are expected to master the knowledge Information system related to human, software, hardware, data and ICT development As a form of integration and arrangement of information system components to create competitiveness points for an organization.

Prof. Dato ‘Wira Dr. Mochd. Salleh who discuss about Innovation & Creativity will be followed by Business Administration students, and students of Informatics Engineering. This intensive program is intended to develop participant competencies for successful innovation in modern organizations in the area of the Environment. The program focuses on developing strategies, procedures that maximize innovation and creativity in order to enhance value and competitive advantage.

AP.Dr. Alexander Van Deursen who discusses Entrepreneurship will be followed by students from Business Management and Business Administration where in this discussion focuses on the use and effects of the internet (technology) in terms of one’s position in society.

Then Yudi Fernando, Ph.D who will discuss about Supply Chain Management to be followed by Business Management students, This program focuses on contemporary issues of supply management and logistics management, this program will help improve the ability of participants understand the complexity of supply chain and logistics Management Contemporary issues in the areas of Big Data Analytics, the Internet of Things, International Business, Halal Principles, Risk Mitigation, Strategic Human Resources, Sustainability Aspects, Low Carbon, Finance and Society.

At the end of the program the students will take the test of each course that has been followed, Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari M.Eng Ph.D at the opening of GLOW hope from this program make Telkom University become World Class University in accordance with the main vision of Telkom University.
