“IEEE Project X” Invite Student to Create a Masterpiece

BANDUNG, TEL-U – To encourage Indonesia’s young generation to be more competitive in response to technological developments, Telkom University (Tel-U) and IEEE created a challenge to all Tel-U students to participate in the event of IEEE X Project.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an association dedicated to advance the innovation and technology which bring benefit to human life, besides that IEEE is a professional non-profit organization composed of many experts in the field of engineering that promotes the development of standards and accelerate new technologies in all aspects of industrial and engineering which includes telecommunications, computer networks, electrical, aerospace, and electronics.

According to Committee Chairman, Muhammad Ibnu, the event called Diversity for Future Industry invited students of all majors either science or non-science to cooperate because this challenge required two different majors.

“The purpose of this event is to invite all university students throughout Indonesia in order to compete at international level so that the Indonesian youth masterpiece can be seen by the world,” he said.

The event was held at the Hall of Selaru Building, 4th floor, on Tuesday (2/2) was opened by beating a gong by Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D as the sign of Grand Opening IEEE X Project.

IEEE seminar X Project “Diversity For Future Industry” invited four speakers: Palagutan Lubis from Directorate General of IPR, President of IEEE Industry Application Industry, David B. Durocher, Dr. Ing Peter Magyar as membership of development in Industry Application Society, and Ms. Retty Setiawan CPA Australia.

“Hopefully this event can continue in the future, and able to create the students who excel both in the national and international levels as well as could push Indonesia industry,” said Rector. (Purel / AW)
