BANDUNG, Telkom University – Towards the end of Odd Semester Academic Year 2019/2020, The Craft study program of the Faculty of Creative Industries Telkom University (FIK Tel-U) organized a fashion shows at Yuliansyah Akbar Gallery Bandung, Friday, November 22, 2019.
The event titled 2019 Swastamita is a performance by the students of Telkom University Kriya study program by displaying the best work of students in 2019.
Lecturer at Telkom University Kriya Study Program, Marissa Qori Agustina Siagian said that in this exhibition no less than 50 fashion designs consisting of 32 couture and 14 final project works were exhibited.
“Not only students in class 2019 participated in this event, but students from the 2016-2019 class also took part in their work, in addition to clothing there were also accessories as well as material exploration in the realm of textile crafts, and for every shirt produced must contain elements of the Prodi Craft, as well as based on ‘local content’ or Indonesian culture, “she said.
In this event, Chairman of the Craft Study Program Association Telkom University, Raden Siti Hadirah Maula said, that the works on display at this time would later be changed to ‘customize’, and some of the works would be stored for future fashion shows.
“Some of works are clothes that will be stored as collections, but there are also clothes that are rented for the needs of fashion shows, photoshoot, and the needs of the television industry, it all depends on their respective owners.” She explained.
