A New Face of Telkom University Open Library

Bandung, Telkom University – Open Library of Telkom University has a new face at the reference reading area and city hall reading area with a “homey” concept called Digital Reading Area (Kindle collection).

Zaky, a librarian in the Open Library of Telkom University said that the redesigning process in these areas is aimed at expanding the reading and learning area, as well as providing a comfortable atmosphere in doing activities in the Open Library.

“We redesigned these areas to expand the reading and learning area and to provide a comfortable environment for either the academic community or public visitors. We are grateful for the visitors’ positive responses.” Said Zaky.

Rika Yuliant, the head of Open Library said that to support learning activities, Open Library is making some adjustments in service time.

“There are some changes in operational hours in the Open Library which initially started from 08.00-16.30 WIB to 08.00-19.00 WIB. These new operational hours will be implemented in the even semester of 2022/2023. This is to maximize the service to meet students’ needs in learning.” Said Rika.

The Open Library has 13 discussion rooms, mini theaters, reading and learning areas, and 24 service facilities that can be used by the academic community of Telkom University and public community. Excellent service facilities include literacy class, refreshment corner, discussion and mini theater, Bank Indonesia corner Service and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Service.
