The head of the research team is also the Head of the S1 Computer Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Telkom University, Umar Ali Ahmad. Ph.D. explained that the Siloka mobile application (Sindangsari Lomba Karya) is a mobile application for recording, collecting, and paying Land and Building Tax (PBB).
Umar added that later the village government would receive a DHP (List of Tax Assessment and Payments Association) and an SPPT (Tax Payable Notification Letter), which contains a list of taxpayers that tax collectors Sindangsari Village must bill. So far, grouping taxpayers, administration, collection, and payment of PBB are still made manually.
“With this application, the residents of Sindangsari Village, totaling 6,938 taxpayers, can make payments in cash through officers or non-cash. Tax collectors who are village officials can record payments (cash/non-cash) through the Siloka application and then provide temporary proof of payment in the form of a printout from the Siloka application POS machine. The collection of tax deposit proceeds is directly transferred to the regional bank for which the taxpayer will then receive a Deposit Receipt (STTS).” Obviously.
Umar explained that this collaboration is a program between Telkom University and the Sindangsari Village government and helping Sindangsari Village through innovation. It is also a form of realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely the implementation of Research activities, Community Service involving lecturers and students.
“Through this activity, we implemented the Independent Campus Independent Learning Program (MBKM), which implements the main performance indicators related to research and village research programs. Every student who is involved in this activity, in addition to getting experience about problems that exist in the village and finding solutions, students will also find it easy to convert this activity into equivalent course credits.” Obviously.
Responding to the achievements achieved by Umar and his team, he is grateful for this achievement. He hopes that the resulting innovation can help the community in Sindangsari Village in particular and generally can be replicated in villages throughout Indonesia.
“Because currently, the UN problem is happening in almost all of Indonesia. Hopefully, through this application, Tel-U can help achieve the target of building land tax in each village so that when the target is achieved, the development will run optimally in all villages in Indonesia, and contribute to boosting the Indonesian economy.”
