Achieved Accreditation, Telkom University Pursue the International Accreditation

BANDUNG – Telkom’s commitment in building potential human resources reach a good result. Through Telkom Education Foundation (YPT) which established the Telkom University proceeded with infrastructure and its academic productivity.

Telkom held the Celebration of Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions (AIPT) and Launch the 4th Anniversary, Wednesday (1/2) in Telkom, Bandung. This event was attended by Bandung Regent, Dadang Naser, Director of Digital and Strategic Portfolio, PT. Telkom Indonesia Indra Utoyo, Telkom Foundation Chairman Dwi Sasongko and and Chief Coordinator of Private Universities West Java.

Rector of Telkom University Mochamad Ashari said that the newly AIPT is just one of the achievements during 2016-2017.

“We are grateful, this January is the month of achievement for our students, lecturer, and all team at Telkom University. In a row we were able to maintain the achievements, we achieved the A Accreditation, followed by the International robot championship in Singapore, then became the second rank as a top university in Indonesia, “he said.

Telkom University has been reputedly as technology – based university, on Friday (01.27.17) achieved the International Standard Certification ISO 20000-1: 2011, related to the information technology service management (MLTI). Excerpting of ISO official website, the certification has never been achieved by any university in Indonesia before.

Still on the same website, the international standards for MLTI is only awarded to organizations or corporations that meet several extra eligibility in information technology services, particularly in the provision, planning to process management-based information communication technology services.

Furthermore, he explained that the achievement of ISO MLTI fulfilled the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation acquisition that has previously been achieved “A” accreditation from National Accreditation Board – Higher Education (BAN-PT). At the same time, it is strengthen the role of Telkom University in building technological sovereignty.

Telkom University until today has approximate 26 thousand students from various countries, Germany, the Netherlands, Tajikistan, Thailand, Korea, Timor, Uzbekistan, Italy and some other countries. In fact, collaboration in science research and development has been carried out at least 30 countries around the world are partnering in a double degree program, research, exchange of students and lecturers.

Telkom University stands on an area of ??approximately 50 hectares, with 7 faculties, 31 undergraduate and post-graduate, equipped with laboratories on each program study.
