Alumni and Company meet on 20th Career Days

The Center for Career Development Directorate at Telkom University again held an annual event, namely the 20th Tel-U Virtual Career Days. As the name implies, the event was held virtually via zoom this time. This activity will last for ten days, from 23 May – to 3 June.

The Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya, inaugurated this activity and explained that the purpose of this event was to help Telkom University’s fresh graduates meet directly with company partners. It is hoped that there will be a match between alumni and industry who are also present at this event.

“I want to say that I was delighted; even though it was virtual, it was a great interaction. It was bringing together Tel-U students and Industry Partners. The goal is for the benefit of this nation so that it can have a positive impact on the nation’s economy in the future.” he said.

According to him, these Career Days are a tangible manifestation of the synergy between campus and industry to prepare qualified and professional graduates. In addition, the Rector also encouraged the industry to cooperate in recruitment and, more than that, in the fields of innovation, research collaboration, and community service.

In addition to the job market, there is also a Sharing Session or Presentation from a psychology expert in Indonesia, namely Analisa Widyaningrum M.Psi., a Clinical Psychologist/CEO of APDC Indonesia. He explained material about the concepts in the Ikigai Elements, which consisted of Passion, Mission, Profession, and Vocation.

A concept used to identify ourselves and its continuity with industry needs. “Friends are expected to have various skills (multi-skill). It is to respond to the rapid changes in the world of work. So we need to have a growth mindset, the desire to keep learning continuously,” said Analisa.
