Community Service Activity in the Middle of COVID-19

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Despite being in a condition of the COVID 19 pandemic which forces us to remain at home during the Ramadhan prayer service. However, this did not dampen productivity and the desire to share knowledge from the lecturers of the Department of Telecommunications and Information Business Management (MBTI) School of Economics and Business to continue to carry out Community Service Activities (Abdimas). There are Dr. Adhi Prasetio, Dr. Dian Indiyati, Dr. Fetty Poerwita Sary, and Dr. Nidya Dudija.

This program is the collaboration between Telkom University and the Department of Cooperatives and Small Business of West Java Province (West Java DISKUK) specifically the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Education and Training (UPTD P3W).  It conducted online to develop outstanding HR Competence both in the field of E-Commerce and UMKM HR management.

The training includes 1) Training on the Making and Management of UMKM Websites and 2) Training on Management of Human Resources (HR) which is held on Monday-Tuesday, May 11-12, 2020 at 10.00-12.00 WIB. The 2-day training was opened by the Head of the Cooperative and Small Business Agency, Drs. Kusmana Hartadji, MM. Also present the Head of the UPTD P3W, Dra. Tini Djumartini, Widyaiswara, and UMKM. The participants will get facilities such as E-Certificate, Credit, and Material.


In the Website Creation and Management Training held on Monday, May 11, 2020, with the keynote speaker Dr. Adhi Prasetio, participants will learn about:

  1. Understanding E-commerce and Website
  2. Benefits of E-commerce and Website
  3. How to create a google account
  4. How to create websites
  5. How to Write Content
  6. How to manage a Website
  7. How to upload a product to the Website

Meanwhile, for the Human Resource Management Training which will be held the next day, which is Tuesday, May 12, 2020, with the speaker Dr. Dian Indiyati, participants will learn about:

  1. Skills needed by an entrepreneur
  2. Superior HR Management starts at:
  3. Planning HR,
  4. Recruitment, HR Selection, and Placement,
  5. HR Development and
  6. Maintaining HR

It is expected that from this activity, the UMKM participants can advance their businesses and be able to realize competent, productive, professional, and competitive human resources in the globalization era. In the future, this activity can continue either by monitoring MSME participants or providing material for new MSME participants.
