The Telkom University student team has again created another innovative product called E-Bhineka, which is a platform with a main purpose to become a promotional medium for handicraft products, particularly Batik Tulis Giriloyo products. Apart from serving as a medium for product promotion, E-Bhineka application also offers various other advantages.
Lecturer at the School of Creative Industries (FIK), Rully Sumarlin, M.Ds., as a supervising lecturer to the Nusantara Team, addressed that E-Bhinneka would be implemented in Giriloyo Batik Village, specifically in the Batik groups which are a part of the Giriloyo Batik Village Association.
“The main purpose of creating this application is to promote and sell batik products online. The application also offers another feature of educational videos on the Batik making process for a broader community and are available both for free and paid content. The revenue generated from the application will be entirely managed by the the Batik Tulis MSMEs (UMKM) of Kampung Giriloyo,” said Rully.
The team members of the Tel-U students participating in the application development are as follows: Lintang Mahesa Prana Sukma, Raihan Nagar Rinaldi, and Irham Ghani Rizki. All three of them are students at the School of Creative Industries.
E-Bhineka began to be developed from October 10 to November 28, 2022, with the process started with the initial coordination stage, licensing, and socialization, to testing and implementing applications for all administrators of the Batik Tulis Giriloyo Group.
In the future, E-Bhineka application will also assist in promoting various tourist destinations in Kampung Batik Giriloyo, including tourist attractions and the price ranges for those who wish to visit from outside the region and abroad. Additionally, other contents such as the history of Batik Tulis in the form of articles and educational videos will also be featured in the application.
