FIK and Creatilatoy Organized the First Audio Show in Indonesia

The Faculty of Creative Industries (FIK) Telkom University will hold the first audio show with a circular sound system in Indonesia. This event is a collaboration between FIK and Creatilatory, summarized in FIK’s annual event, Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) 2022. The show titled “Los Harewos Audio Experience ” (LHAE) will take place on July 29-31 at De Majestic, Bandung.

The Dean of the Faculty of Creative Industries at Telkom University, Dr. Roro Retno Wulan, S. Sos., M.Pd., revealed that this audio show was the first to be held and would give a new color to the main event of FIK, namely BCM 2022.

“We (FIK) have never held an event like this before. This audio show, in collaboration with LHAE from Creatilatory, will give new nuances for visitors to BCM 2022 later. Incidentally, the material will be in the form of horror stories, so the experience must be unique because you enjoy horror stories through audio format.” Roro said.

FIK Lecturer and Implementing Producer of Dr. Teddy Hendiawan, S.Ds., M.Sn., explained that technically the audience will be required to come to the studio, sit on a chair, but not to watch a film, but only listen to stories in audio format, with a circular sound system. This condition will make the audience’s theater of mind at an optimal level.

According to research, consuming horror content can increase adrenaline and stimulate the release of the hormone dopamine. This hormone will make us happier. Now, feeling happy increases the body’s immunity so that it can ward off viruses,” said Teddy.

The voice actors in this audio show involve two well-known Indonesian musicians, namely Rocker ‘Candil’ and singer ‘Tiara Effendy.’ The voice of the characters in a horror genre audio show with the title ‘Rahara Parawangsa.’

For information, FIK is one of the faculties at Telkom University, which is engaged in design and art education that focuses on the development of education in the Creative Industries sector based on information technology and Nusantara culture.

BCM is an annual event regularly held by FIK as a forum for researchers, creative people, academics, and industry professionals from around the world to present the results of their research and development activities in the fields of technology, design, society, business, and the environment.
