FRI Holds Competition to Encourage the Industrial Sector

BANDUNG, Telkom University โ€“ Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) The Faculty of Industrial Engineering Telkom University (FRI Tel-U) held an Engineering Simulation Game Industrial Creative Season (INCREASE) 2020 event since December 2019.

Carrying the theme “Implementing Smart Manufacturing In A Digital Era To Achieve Sustainable Development Goals” this event was attended by various universities throughout Indonesia. The INCREASE 2020 is expected to be able to drive the industrial sector in Indonesia globally by implementing Smart manufacturing in the digital age.

This competition will take place in 3 stages where the first stage will take place in January 2020, and the second stage will be in early February 2020 until the grand final on February 21, 2020 and awarding on February 23, 2020, with total prizes reaching US $ 2250.

Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Dr. Agus Ahmad Suhendra in his speech at the awarding day on Sunday (23/2) at the Horison Hotel Bandung said that through this activity students were expected to be able to create new ideas to develop the digital-based industry sector in Indonesia.

“Hopefully, through this competition, the young generation will be able to produce the best ideas to advance this nation, because industry in Indonesia is one of the supporters of economic growth in our country.” He explained.

Telkom University Chancellor Prof. Adiwijaya welcomed the event, according to him, with competitions like this Telkom University was able to create superior resources for Indonesia.

“The progress of this country is choking on the shoulders of our young generation, through competitions and seminars that take place today, it is hoped that the younger generation can advance this nation in the future because the ideas that you emerge will benefit the progress of this nation.” He said.

1st Place: Surabaya Sepuluh November Institute of Technology

2nd Place: Gajah Mada University Yogyakarta

3rd place: Telkom University
