Bandung, March 9, 2023. The lecturer of School of Communication and Business (FKB) of Telkom University, Maulana Rezi Ramadhana has successfully acquired a doctoral degree in communication. The title has been officially acquired by him after completing the doctoral promotion open defense at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on Monday, (3/6).
Rezi mentioned that his dissertation entitled ‘The Resilient Family Communication in the Perspective of Children with Sensory Disability in Bandung’ aims to become a contribution of scientific knowledge from him as a doctor of communication in a context of psychology of communication, especially in interpersonal communication in a family.
By seeing the rarity of research focusing on family, especially on the relationship between family communication and family resilience, Rezi, through this research, has made valuable scientific contributions whose benefits can be felt by the public.
“Hopefully, the contribution is broad enough, starting from theoretical, methodological, to an offered model about understanding the indicators of good family resilience so that family communication, especially on children with disability, can run effectively,” Rezi explained.
Every question from the promoters, in this case Ravik Karsidi, Prahastiwi Utari, and Drajat Tri Kartono, was well answered by Rezi and led him to achieve the Cum Laude predicate with a GPA of 3.96.
This doctoral promotion open defense was chaired by Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, accompanied by the Dean of School of Social and Political Studies (FISIP) of UNS, Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni.
