Telkom University held a National Seminar on Research and Community Service on Monday (27/12), held at the Mason Pine Hotel, Padalarang. This activity is a form of Tel-U’s participation in supporting the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which was echoed by the government recently.
This activity is also a research-oriented collaborative learning program and research-based community service funded by the Directorate General of Higher Education Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
In his speech, Director of Research and Community Service (PPM) Telkom University, Dr. Kemas Muslim Lhaksmana, revealed that the government’s funding in the MBKM program was a stimulus for Tel-U lecturers to be able to accelerate in producing quality research and service staff.
“We are very proud to be able to help the government in the Merdeka Learning program for the Merdeka Campus. The works that we produce here are a total contribution to the country, especially in building the distribution of knowledge in various fields in the archipelago,” said Pack.
During the activity, lecturers representing faculties and study programs presented their research and community service results to the evaluators. Tel-U lecturers present 13 research titles and 12 community service program titles.
The presentations from each team were evaluated by a team of evaluators, namely Prof. Suyanto and Dr. Heroe Wijanto, for the field of research. In contrast, the field of community service was evaluated by Dr. eng. Faisal Budiman and Nofha Rina, S.Sos., M.Sc.
At the end of the event, the Chancellor of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, gave awards to the best research team and public servants at Tel-U. “This award is a form of appreciation from the institution to the team that has carried out research and community service members in this program. We hope that what we have done will be able to provide benefits to the community that Tel-U has fostered,” said Adiwijaya.
The three best abdimas that received awards were
- the SILOKA application from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (1st place),
- MKIA application by the Faculty of Business Economics (2nd Place), and
- the Waste Bank from the Visual Communication Design S1 Study Program (3rd Place).
The three best studies come from the School of Communication and Business (FKB) as the first winner. Informatics S1 Study Program as 2nd Place, and Visual Communication Design S1 Study Program in the 3rd Place. All research is oriented to the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) policy at the faculty and study program level.
Later on, the best research and public servants (1st place) will be presented at the Merdeka Learning National Seminar on Merdeka Campus and teams from other universities who also participate in this program.
