Tel-U, through student affairs, School of Informatics, held the iCyption 2022 event, a national-level competition in the Cloud Computing and Competitive Programming field. This competition took place from July 30-31 until the peak of the event (final) on August 14 at Telkom University Landmark Tower (TULT).
iCyption 2022 is an activity to further socialize the Faculty of Informatics and Telkom University to high school / vocational students interested in informatics. Through this competition, it is hoped that students’ interest in the field of ICT in Indonesia will increase, especially in the areas of cloud computing science and competitive programming.
iCyption is also expected to be a bridge between academia and industry, where industry players who need human resources with high technical abilities can meet directly with talents from this iCyption competition. It was revealed by the Chief Executive of iCyption 2022, Elia Angga Adhitya.
“Considering that the needs of the industry in the sector are so high, through this competition, it is hoped that it can create competent and highly competitive digital talents. The experience and skills gained by participants from this activity can be a provision in the professional world in the future,” said Angga.
The winners in the final round of iCyption 2022 for each category are as follows for the Competitive Programming category in order from 1st to 5th place: Gustav Ian Setiabudi (SMAK Plus Penabur Cirebon); Andreas Timothy (SMA Bina Kasih Jambi); Gunadi Gani (SMAK 1 Penabur Jakarta); Leontina Maydeline Davidson (PJ Global School Malang); Roberto Eugenio Sugiarto (SMAN 1 Wonosobo).
As for the Cloud Computing category, sequentially from 1st to 3rd place: Habib Mustofa Attamimi (SMK Informatics Al-Irsyad); Muhammad Kevin Adhaikal (Citra Nusantara Vocational High School); Mia Herliana Rohmat (SMKN 1 Cimahi).
This competition was attended by participants of SMA / SMK students from all over Indonesia, ranging from West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, Banten, Yogyakarta Special Region, DKI Jakarta, Gorontalo, Jambi, Kalimantan, East, Riau Islands, Lampung , Riau, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, West Sumatra, North Sumatra. Most participants came from the island of Java, 49% from West Java, 17% from Central Java, 10% from East Java, and the remaining 24% were spread all over Indonesia.
