BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University (Tel-U) through the Directorate of Career, Alumni & Endowment Development organized a sharing of Telkom University MNC Group alumni and invited 2 Telkom University alumni who worked at MNC Group.

The event entitled Job Opportunities Sharing at MNC Innovation Centers Jakarta and Bandung in New Normal Situations took place online on Telkom University’s Youtube Channel and Zoom applications, Monday (6/22).

The two Tel-U alumni present included Annisa Rahmadhani (MNC Media’s Digital Commercial Section Head) as well as the 2015 Communication Science alumni and Ari Fajrianda Alfi (Mobile IOS Developer MNC Innovation Center Bandung) D3 Alumni Informatics Engineering 2013.

Annisa and Ari shared their experiences working in MNC Group. Ari shared his preparation for a career in software development. Some basic concepts must be understood, starting from algorithms, data structures, computer networks, and other basic concepts.

“For preparation, don’t focus too much on the latest web concepts at this time, because in the future it will certainly develop, but understand the basic concepts that have been obtained during college.” He said.

In addition to the basic concepts, Ari explained that the skills that must be mastered are communication skills, leadership, the ability to work in teams, the ability to solve problems, and proper time management.

 

“Because inevitably wherever we pursue a career, we certainly work in teams, therefore working in teams is inseparable from communication and leadership.” Strictly speaking

In contrast to Ari, Annisa shared the creative process needed to produce a digital commercial in MNC Media. Producing creative products, what is needed is a reference, and thinking quickly and innovatively.

“When producing good products in these commercial products that are desired by the client, the creative thing that is needed is to increase references. In the current digital era, we can get a lot of references, starting from YouTube, Instagram, and others, and doing innovations.” She said.

Also attends this event was MNC Group CTO & MNO Innovation Center Yudi Hamka. For him, along with the transformation of MNC into digital, the company needs qualified human resources to fulfill this.

“We know that Tel-U is one of the tertiary institutions in Indonesia that prioritizes ICT in it. Therefore we hope to collaborate with Telkom University. We want to provide internship and even placemen to join the MNC Group.” He said.

Telkom University Rector Prof. Adiwijaya said that it was a pride for Tel-U to collaborate with companies as large as MNC for this collaboration would both help both parties to achieve their respective visions for the advancement of the Indonesian people.

“We are very pleased to be able to collaborate with MNC because the digital process at MNC is a huge opportunity for Tel-U, we are ready to assist MNC in developing its company through the human resources we have.” He said.
