Bandung, Telkom University – Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University (UMY) visited Telkom University (Tel-U) on Tuesday (21/2) at Telkom University Landmark Tower (TULT).
During the visit, the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Division of UMY, Hijriyah Oktaviani, S.IP., M.M., and her staff were warmly welcomed by Tel-U Public Relations & Analytics Team. The topic of discussion in this visit agenda included the management of social media, website, media relations, and protocol at Tel-U.
Hijriyah Oktaviani expressed her intention to learn various things from Tel-U, specifically in the field of public relations governance and data analysis. She recognized that currently digital content is a strategic step to approach stakeholders.
“Tel-U is a leading campus specifically in the field of ICT and has an excellent online presence due to its social media management. Of course, we intend to learn from Tel-U regarding public relations and data analysis to create content that has a targeted exposure,” said Hijriyah.
The Head of Public Relations & Analytics Telkom University, Mohamad Syahriar Sugandi, S.E., M.I.Kom., stated that currently the creation of digital content for social media should be based on data. Therefore, decision making can have a significant impact and result in good engagement.
“Creating social media content that targets the right target audience can generate good engagement value. This provides broad exposure and impact. To achieve this, every content produced by us (Tel-U) undergoes a data analysis process. We utilize this meeting as well as possible and we transfer knowledge so that we can move forward together,” explained Syahriar.
