JAKARTA, TEL-U – The National Library of Indonesia (NLI) launched Bibliography site Indonesian Film Personage, Sophan Sophiaan. “The Web is dedicate to sophan sophiaan for all his work and hopefully it can benefit by communities throughout Indonesia, “said Director of NLI Dra. Sri Sularsih, M.Sc.
The launch was carried out after the signing the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between five universities – one of which Telkom University (Tel-U) – with National Library in Jakarta, Monday (15/2).
This event attended by a number of senior Indonesian artists among others Rima Melati, Nani Wijaya, Bobby Sandy and wife of sophan sophiaan, Widyawati.
This site contains matters relating to sophan sophiaan such as biographies, collectibles, movies, books, photos and articles. Literature Site Sophan Sophiaan is the 18th personage website after the National Library launched a similar site.
Widyawati said that she felt proud that her husband could be a film prominent on National Library website. “Hopefully from this website, the young generation recognise about the history and can continue to preserve the art and culture in Indonesia, especially cinema,” said Widya. (Purel / AW)
