BANDUNG, TEL-U – Rector of Seoul Institute of the Arts (Mr.Yoo DH) and Dean of External Relations Dep. / Media Dep, Film Major (Mr. Tay Yoo); Executive Director of Art & Technology Center / Music Dep. Applied Music Major (Mr. Hodge Kang); and Performing Art Dep. Acting Major visited the Faculty of Creative Industries Tel-U in Sebatik Building (FIK), on Thursday (07/01).
Seoul Institute of the Arts is an art-based campus, but this time they were directed to collaborate with technology, one information technology. “In this regard they expose Telkom University which is famous as a technology-based university,” said Manager of International Office, Indah Fajarwati.
Dean Faculty of Creative Industries Tel-U Dr. Ir. Agus Achmad Suhendra, MT Tel-U conveyed the reason about preference to use “creative industry” rather than rather “art and design”. “Creative industries more grounded in Indonesia and is the second recent thing in Indonesia,” he said.
In this meeting, Rector of Seoul Institute of the Arts also introduced their faculty such as the School of Performance; School of Media; Arts Foundation Department; Arts Management Program; Music; and Design.
The visit concluded with MOU signing between Telkom University and Seoul Institute of the Arts. “The new cooperation start with university first, but the discussion we’ve alluded to the faculty level, such as what areas should be arrange in cooperation,” said Indah. (purel / Nisa)
