S1 Physics Engineering
Overview About
Telkom University Physics Engineering Study Program was established on January 21, 2009 based on the Decree of the Directorate of Higher Education Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 90/D/T/2009. This study program was born as a form of fulfilling industrial demands that require experts in the field of Engineering Physics. At first, the Physics Engineering Undergraduate Study Program was accommodated in the Faculty of Science on January 30, 2009 concerning the Organizational Structure and Governance of the Telkom Institute of Technology. Along with the change in the Telkom Institute of Technology to become Telkom University along with 3 (three) other tertiary institutions under the Telkom Education Foundation, the Engineering Physics Engineering Study Program is under the Science Department at the Faculty of Engineering.
The Bachelor of Engineering Physics Study Program at Telkom University is one of the four Bachelor of Engineering Physics study programs that have been accredited A among the ten Bachelor of Engineering Physics programs in Indonesia. In 2018, the Physics Engineering Study Program at Telkom University obtained provisional accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) based on accreditation certificate No. 00015P December 11 2018. Currently the Engineering Physics Study Program at Telkom University is preparing to obtain IABEE Full Accreditation. Telkom University Physics Engineering Study Program uses ISO 20000-1:2018 as a standard for information technology service management and ISO 9001 2015 as a quality management system standard in carrying out academic activities. Since 2016, The Physics Engineering Study Program uses an OBE (Objective-Based Education) based curriculum that refers to the National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti) No. 50/2012 and international standard IABEE.
Superiority
Telkom University Physics Engineering Study Program graduated students for the first time in 2013 and in the 2013-2014 period, the number of students who graduated was 26 people. As of June 2021, 677 students have graduated and are currently working in various multinational and national companies, as well as taking part in other fields. The student body for the Physics Engineering Study Program at Telkom University in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year was recorded as 315 people with 24 active lecturers with a Doctoral degree qualification of 50.00% and 66.67% of the academic positions of Lector and Head Lector.
