BANDUNG, Telkom University – West Java Association of Informatics and Computer Science Universities (APTIKOM) held the 3rd Provincial Conference (Musprov), which took place at the Damar Telkom University Building Wednesday (23/3). The event took place during the election of the West Java APTIKOM for the 2022-2026 period.
Previously, the leadership of West Java APTIKOM was held by Prof. Dr. Eddy Jusuf (Rector of Pasundan University) from 2018-to 2022. The baton of leadership was continued by Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya (Telkom University Chancellor) for the 2022-2026 period after being elected in the Plenary Session, which took place at the 3rd Provincial Conference of APTIKOM West Java.
Chairman of APTIKOM, Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan., Ph.D., when opening the 3rd Musprov APTIKOM West Java, conveyed this to the elected chairman of APTIKOM West Java. Hopefully, he can continue the success of his previous leadership.
“Our message is to all APTIKOM leaders in the regions. Continue to collaborate with our stakeholders, the central government, regional governments, industry, and fellow academics,” he said.
On this occasion, Prof. Zainal said that based on Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, university accreditation is carried out by the National Accreditation Board and Study Program Accreditation as a form of public accountability by the Independent Accreditation Institute.
“God willing, by the end of March 2022, it will effectively operate as an Independent Accreditation Institute in Informatics and Computer study programs (LAM INFOKOM). It is our pride for the future for a better world of education,” he said.
Prof. Adiwijaya, as the elected Chairman of APTIKOM for the period 2022-2026, expressed his gratitude for the trust and trust given to continue the leadership of APTIKOM West Java for the next four years.
“Thank you for the trust given. We will continue the leadership of Prof. Eddy previously were to continue developing APTIKOM. Strong collaboration is needed, so we can create quality education to produce generations that are beneficial to the Indonesian nation,” he said.
The 3rd Musprov APTIKOM West Java series also organized a national seminar entitled “Smart Campus Welcomes the Metaverse Era” and invited the Keynote Speaker of the Minister of Communication and Information, Johny G. Plate. He is represented by the Director-General of Resources and Equipment for Post and Information Technology. Dr. Ismail and the Governor of West Java, Dr. Ridwan Kamil, are represented by the Head of the West Java Communication and Information Office, Dr. Ika Mardia.
After that, the series of events continued with three-panel discussions with different themes. The first-panel discussion entitled “Management of Study Programs in the LAM Era, OBE and MBKM Policy” with Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, MLS., Ph.D. (Chairman of APTIKOM), and Parman Sukarno, Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Informatics, Telkom University).
In the second panel discussion entitled Supercomputer Infrastructure Utilization for APTIKOM Higher Education, the resource person: Dr. I Made Wiryana (Lecturer and Researcher at Gunadarma University) and Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya (Telkom University Chancellor).
While the third-panel discussion discussed the Metaverse Revolution, Opportunities or Challenges for Higher Education, with the speakers: Budi Setyawan Wijaya (Director of Strategic Portfolio of PT Telkom Indonesia), Anang Achmad Latif (President Director of the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI)), and Antovany Reza (Indonesia VR Association (INVRA).
