BANDUNG, Telkom University – Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil tried Telkom University’s latest innovation, Telkom Electricity Car, at technology and innovation exhibition at Habibie Festival 2018 at Telkom University Convention Hall (TUCH) Friday 30 November 2018.
The governor, who is familiarly called Kang Emil, also opened the Festival which featured various innovations and technological works of the nation’s young generation from 30 November 2018 to 2 December 2018.
In his speech Emil said that his dream was to build West Java province into a digital province through collaboration from government, academia and industry.
“We will build West Java into a digital province, by starting to build digital villages in West Java, in the future in every 1 village there will be 1 company and we want those who become the CEO is a fresh graduate, and I hope graduates from Tel-U can contribute in the program.” He said
Ilham Akbar Habibie, the son of BJ Habibie and the initiator of this festival, said that the theme of this event was โBerkarya Indonesiaโ (Indonesia Creates), cultivating technology.
“From this theme we want to invite all Indonesian people, especially the younger generation, to be able to make technology as a culture, and we want to invite all people not only to become consumers but also to become technology producers.”
