BANDUNG, TEL-U – Telkom University (Tel-U) won an award from Directorate General of Intellectual Rights, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. This award presented to Tel-U as considered has fulfilled the compliance use of original and licensed computer programs (software) in University.
This award presented directly by the Director General of Intellectual Rights Prof.Dr. Ahmad M. Ramli, SH, MH, FCBArb, and the Minister of Justice and Human Rights Affairs Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly to the Vice Rector Dr. Tel-U Heroe Wijanto, Ir., MT on the “Puncak Peringatan Hari Kekayaan Intelektual Se-Dunia ke-15 “. The event held at Graha Pengayoman Ministry of Justice and Human Rights Building, Thursday (7/5).
According Yasonna, government support Indonesian Anti-piracy People because counterfeiting is a hard infraction to be avoided. “For sure, any work have its creator, so as lovers should appreciate the work of the creator,” he said.
Yasonna added to prevent counterfeiting, meaning that the Indonesian people will appreciate the creativity and innovation of the nation. “Continue to create and innovate to achieve a masterpiece, be creative Indonesian man,” said Yasonna.
Vice Rector, Dr. Heroe Wijanto judge this award as something natural because actually everyone should appreciate the work of others and one way to appreciate it is to buy the original version.
“But more importantly, I hope this award can be an inspiration and motivation for researchers at Tel-U to not only be users but also can be the creator or the creator is good,” said Heroe.
Day peak of intellectual property to the World Se-15 is the theme ‘Get Up, Stand Up For Music’. In the same activity, HKI Indonesian Ambassador also stipulated that Afgansyah Reza, as it is known Afgan Indonesia is one of the musicians who have a lot of fans. Afgan was appointed for a second time as ambassador IPR.
